Valero and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Coastal Bend Regional Science Fair

NEW! Districts can now maximize their number of projects by combining their number of entries across grade levels within the same division. Visit the updated district entry requirements (pdf).

 

Registering for the Valero and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Coastal Bend Regional Science Fair is a two-step process:


1. Registration of the School District (closed)

Districts must register before projects within the district can be registered. Each district need only register once. Counties eligible to participate

Cost: There is a $15.00 per project registration fee for K-5, and a $16.00 per project registration fee for 6-12. One team project will have the same project registration fee as one individual project. For districts registering five or more projects, there is also a $100 affiliation fee.

Entry limits: Entry limits are based on district size (NEW for 2018!). See the district entry guidelines (pdf)

    *If paying by check, please remit payment to TAMUCC and mail to 6300 Ocean Dr. Unit 5854, Corpus Christi TX 78412-5854 (Attn: Crystal Seehorn)

2. Registration of Individual Projects (new deadline February 16)

Projects can be registered by the teacher, parent, or student, but only after the district has registered AND after the project has been selected by the school/district for promotion to the regional level. Payment of $15 per project, plus all forms, must be received by the deadline. Late projects will not be accepted.

A student must not have reached age 20 on or before May 1 preceding the regional fair to participate.


K-2 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT REGISTRATION

K-2 participants and guardians must complete each of the three forms below. Teachers, please collect all individual project forms and scan them as one document to cbsciencefair@tamucc.edu. Please make sure that all forms are signed, complete, and legible before scanning. Bring original documentation with you to project check-in on February 23.

  • Approval form for K-2 projects
  • Code of conduct form for K-12 (pdf)
  • Research photo consent form (only required for students who wish to post photos of others or of themselves on their display boards) (pdf)
    *Be sure to properly credit/acknowledge all photographers on the display board (Photograph taken by ... ).
    *Be sure to properly cite the full URL for any images taken from the internet and displayed on the board (Image retrieved from http:// ...).

3-5 INDIVIDUAL PROJECT REGISTRATION

Grades 3-5 participants and guardians must complete each of the three forms below. Teachers, please collect all individual project forms and scan them as one document to cbsciencefair@tamucc.edu. If you would like to preview the forms before logging in to Scienteer, please refer to the copies of the forms below. These forms can be used as practice, but the information must all be entered into Scienteer to make your registration official.

ALL grades 6-12 projects need the following forms (Abstract, Form 1, 1A, Research Plan, and 1B). The remaining forms may be required depending on the nature of your science fair project. If you are unsure of the forms your project requires, please utilize the Intel ISEF Wizard for assistance.
